In collaboration with the Ministry of Women Empowerment and the Family, UN Women organized a capacity-building session for women leaders from different CSOs
June 5, 2020. In collaboration with the Ministry of Women Empowerment and the Family, UN Women organized a capacity-building session for women leaders from different CSOs in the production of low-cost hydro-alcoholic gel and solutions. The objective of this training, organized on June 5th, 2020 via Zoom, was to train leaders of associations, leaders of different organizations and ministries in the production of gels and hydro-alcoholic solutions according to standards in line with the UN Women Gendered COVID-19 Response Plan. Thus, about fifty women from all over the country were trained.
This training is part of UN Women Cameroon Covid 19 Gendered Response Plan. The trainer, who was recruited by the UN Women Regional Office in Dakar, updated the production capacities of women in the manufacture of gels and disinfectant solutions at lower cost.
UN Women remains mobilized and committed to supporting the Government of Cameroon to strengthen the economic resilience of women during COVID 19 pandemic. This involves prioritizing support to women at the forefront of interventions, providing know-how for the manufacture of hygiene products.
